Biography
Barry L. Stiefel, Ph.D. is an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Professional Advancement Humanities & Social Sciences Program and in the School of Architecture at Tulane University, as well as on the faculty of the historic preservation programs at the College of Charleston and Clemson University, and a Research Associate at Carlton University. Dr. Stiefel’s Ph.D. is in Historic Preservation from Tulane University, which was an interdisciplinary program between the Department of History and School of Architecture. His research interests are on how local preservation efforts affect regional, national, and multi-national policies within the fields of heritage conservation, social justice, and sustainability.
