Biography
Dr. Jamil M. Gilliam is a certified school psychologist from Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dr. Gilliam received her B.A. from Spelman College and Master’s degrees in Risk and Prevention and Educational Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the University of Georgia, respectively. She received her doctoral degree in Educational Psychology, specializing in school psychology, from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining the Tulane School of Professional Advancement, she worked as a school psychologist in K-12 schools in New Orleans and completed a two-year postdoctoral psychology fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Tulane University School of Medicine. Through her many experiences in school and community settings, Dr. Gilliam believes that building on her clients' strengths is the most impactful approach to treatment. She is committed to advocating for services and providing access for her clients and their families.
