Biography
Joseph Perriatt, C.P.A., M.B.A., teaches Fundamentals of Information Systems and Technology, Database Fundamentals, Relational Database Design and Development at SoPA. Mr. Perriatt is an Accounting and Financial Systems Professional, specializing in work process design, implementation, operation and support/maintenance. In addition, he has extensive experience in Financial and Operational Accounting.
Mr. Perriatt earned a B.S. in Accounting at Xavier University of Louisiana., and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and M.B.A in Accounting/Administration from Tulane University. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1980, and is part of the First 100 Black CPAs in the State of Louisiana. He is also an active member of Kiwanis International and believes in serving the community.
What are your favorite activities when you are not working?
Community volunteering, Mardi Gras parades and Jazz Fest.
What advice would you give to someone who's considering finishing their degree, or starting for the first time as an adult?
Taking this line from Nike. Just do it.
What is your favorite app and why?
Pandora. Because I love music and being able to choose the artists and/or categories.
