Biography
Tamzen Jenkins is a professional graphic designer based in Memphis, TN. She holds an Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis (2013), a BA in Journalism from the University of Mississippi (2005) and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Graphic Design from Tulane University (2019).
Way back in ancient times, she wanted to be a newspaper journalist. However, with the boom of the digital age, she decided to shift gears and landed teaching 7-12th grade English for 5 years. After transitioning from teaching, she shifted gears again, jumping headfirst into Graphic Design. Since then, Tamzen has done work for a variety of clients including Energy Smart New Orleans, Entergy Solutions Louisiana, Energywise, the Iowa Black Doula Collective, and the Tulane School of Public Health among others.
She currently works full-time at ALSAC, the fundraising arm for St. Jude Children's Hospital, in Memphis, TN. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, biking and pretending to be a “runner” – she indicates it's more of a "slow jog.”
