Your Career in Open Source Intelligence and Homeland Security

The US Director of National Intelligence (USDNI) careers website lists education in intelligence studies for those interested in either intelligence analysis or intelligence collection careers. The Tulane Homeland Security Studies (HMLS) Master of Professional Studies (MPS) program has graduates working in the US Intelligence Community, state, and local agencies, as well as with private industry. Governments primarily use open-source intelligence to reduce expensive intelligence collection budgets. Businesses conduct scientific and technical research, identify investment opportunities, and conduct market and future trends studies to enhance decision-making using open-source methods and analysis. Private citizens can and have used OSINT to investigate human rights violations, war crimes, and genocides.
