Mortarboard & Umbrella Decorating
Tuesday, May 14, 2024 | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT | LBC Dining Room (Berger Family Lawn-Side)
Decorating mortarboard and umbrellas is a cherished tradition for Tulane graduates. Graduating students can decorate on their own or stop by the LBC on Tuesday, May 14 to decorate their items with other grads! Grads must bring their own caps and umbrellas. A select few plain umbrellas will be available to graduates who reserve them in WaveSync.

Tulane SoPA 2024 Diploma Ceremony
Saturday, May 18, 2024 | 1 p.m. CDT | McAlister Auditorium
This event is for both graduates and undergraduates. Graduates should proceed to Marshall Commons Lobby (inside AB Freeman School of Business) with their splash card or a government-issued ID no later than 12:30 p.m. while guests should proceed to McAlister Auditorium directly. A bag check and hand wand scans will be conducted. The clear bag policy will be enforced. Umbrellas will be an exception. A reception at the Marshall Commons Lobby will immediately follow.

Unified Commencement
Saturday, May 18, 2024 | 6:30 p.m. CDT | Yulman Stadium
The Unified Ceremony brings together all Tulane grads, from undergraduate to graduate and professional students to celebrate the pomp and circumstance of the day, which includes the procession of graduates and faculty, the keynote address from Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Jon Meacham, and the conferral of degrees. Unified commencement will be a ticketed event. Graduates will need to reserve tickets for themselves and their guests by noon (CST) on Tuesday, May 14. A bag check and hand wand scans will be conducted. The clear bag policy will be enforced. Umbrellas will be an exception. More information can be found here.
