Through practical exercises and online discussions, students in this online course explore the development and enforcement of immigration law in the U.S.

Emergency Management - HMLS 3250

This course will examine core elements of emergency management in the context of the science, law, medicine, and economics that confront 21st Century leaders in business and government. Case studies, including that of Hurricane Katrina, will serve as the focus for readings, class discussion and policy research to improve this vital function of government.

Security + Certification - CPST 4912

Learn a wide range of technical cybersecurity concepts, both academic and applied, in this course. This course is taught by a U.S. Military cybersecurity expert, who will instruct on domain topics while preparing students to take the CompTIA Security+ professional certification exam.

| Developing a Small Business - BSLS 3650

Analyze the essential principles of small business start-up and management, including methods for identifying and evaluating opportunities, establishing the operating structure, developing marketing and financial plans, and using financial reports to enhance the effective management of nascent and growing small business.

Media Writing - MDES-1120

In this course, students will learn and use Associated Press style to sharpen their communication writing skills and styles in an effort to communicate with and reach diverse audiences.

Course will foster the development of the skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing Italian both in the classroom and through audio work.

Applications for the School of Professional Advancement Fall 2024 endowed scholarships will close on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
|

Monaghan Scholarship: awarded to a SoPA undergraduate student majoring or minoring in Homeland Security Studies

Osher Re-entry Scholarships: awarded to SoPA undergraduate students with at least 9 credits but not more than 40 credits who are between the ages of 25 and 50 with a 5-year or more gap in the pursuit of higher education

Rowe Scholarships: awarded to SoPA undergraduate students who are military veterans or active-duty military, with preference given to those injured in the line of duty

Tidewater/Assad Scholarship: awarded to a SoPA undergraduate majoring or minoring in Humanities

This inspiring movie screening, hosted by the Tulane Innovation Institute and Tulane Ventures, will illuminate women's challenges in securing venture capital and female investors working to change the status quo.
Meet and greet with local women's organizations and entrepreneurs who support women in New Orleans.

| Outreach Tulane 2024
Saturday, August 24, 2024 | 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST | Uptown Campus
Now in its 34th year, Outreach Tulane is Tulane University’s largest and oldest community service event. We aim to set the bar high for all of Tulane’s wonderful community involvement opportunities. We host around 1,000 volunteers at project sites throughout the greater New Orleans area to give students a chance to get to know the place we call home for four years.
