Student speaker uses design to champion human rights

AJ Durand, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interactive UX/UI Design from SoPA, and is an award-winning designer who developed a phone application, through which people could rate public bathrooms, noting whether they were accessible and safe for gender non-conforming people.

Public administration grad has aptitude for advocacy

The advocacy of Khamani “Gigi” Williamson, a Master of Public Administration graduate of the Class of 2023 and recipient of a Tulane 34 award, resulted in the development of a law course within the program.

Victor Calero-Hernandez, a School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) graduate who earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, has been named the 2023 recipient of the Dr. Gisela Spieker Prize, which is awarded to exemplary first-generation college graduates
